A set of colored 3D decals from Quinta Studio for fitting out the cockpit faithfully in 1:48 scale. The raised, fully colored details are printed on backing decal paper and come off it in water. They cover the instrument panel, the side panels and the belts with no need for painting, and as a quick alternative to photo-etch. The decals are shaped to the parts of the Academy kit.
The F-15C Eagle is a single-seat American air superiority fighter with twin vertical tails and two powerful engines. It is one of the most successful fighters of its generation, and its cockpit combines classic analog instruments with later displays. The colored 3D decal captures its intricate crew station faithfully.
Go over the cockpit tub and the panels with gloss varnish (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22). Cut the part out of the sheet, dip it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on gloss varnish; on intricate surfaces a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as their chemistry attacks the printed resin.
The set serves as an accessory to a plastic kit and is not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
