F-16 block 30/32 – reinforcement plates 1:48 for the Hasegawa kit by Quinta Studio captures the traces of long service without the laborious making of plates from film.
Responsibility details are not available.
Quinta Studio offers, in the form of a decal accessory, the characteristic plates with which the airframes of Fighting Falcons were strengthened in service. This variant is, according to the name, meant for the quarter-scale Hasegawa kit; the identically named sister for the Kinetic kit differs only in the entry in brackets, so before ordering check which kit you are actually building.
The F-16C/D of blocks 30 and 32 serve with a number of air forces to this day and a long career has left its mark on them: structural modifications added clearly visible strengthening elements to the fuselage and the wings. Anyone modeling a machine from the last decades of service will not reach a faithful appearance without them, because it is exactly these details that tell a veteran from a freshly delivered aircraft.
Prepare the surface smooth and glossy, carry the individual segments over one at a time and line them up by the panel lines. Close the work with a coat of varnish; the weathering that follows will tie the plates naturally to the rest of the airframe. Always compare the layout with period photographs of the aircraft you want to portray, because individual machines differed.
