The fourth set of paving parts aims above all at modelers who are planning a larger scene: a yard with several vehicles, a street with a row of houses or a worthy plinth under a machine in a large scale. Zoukei-Mura is at home precisely with large aircraft, so it is no accident that a paved surface sets off, for instance, a fighter parked in front of a field hangar beautifully. Putting it together from individual segments makes it possible to extend the surface as a project grows.
With large bases it pays to draw a plan first and count the segments needed; the manufacturer does not state their number in the package, so reckon on a reserve and start with a smaller composition. Lead the joints between sets in places where the shadow of a model, a low wall or vegetation will cover them.
For patient builders of large dioramas and for collectors who want to give their models a presentable base for a display cabinet. The absence of a fixed scale works in its favor here: credibility is decided by the ratio of the size of the stones to the model, not by a figure on the box, so one stock of paving will serve projects across a whole collection. A generously sized surface moreover takes a pair of models displayed side by side without trouble.
