Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the Soviet self-propelled armored railcar D-37 in the variant carrying the turret of the D-13 armored car. The Ukrainian brand UM devotes itself to armored trains and rail equipment as consistently as few others, so this is a subject you will not find with the large manufacturers.
The self-propelled railcar D-37 came about in the Soviet Union in 1932 in the design bureau of Nikolai Dyrenkov, whose projects carried the letter D. It served to protect railway lines and for reconnaissance on behalf of armored trains, ahead of which it could be sent as the forward eye of a formation. The variant described was given the turret of the D-13 armored car, which created a remarkable crossing of road and rail equipment, utterly typical of the interwar experiments of the Red Army. Most of these machines also saw combat use in the first months of the German invasion.
Separate the small castings with a sharp razor blade and sand the edges gently; with kits from shorter runs it pays to try every joint first. The basis of the finish is Soviet protective green, which you will bring to life with a filter, rust around the running gear and oily traces at the bearings. The railcar positively calls for a short vignette with a piece of track, which places the model in a story at once.
It is sold as an unassembled and unpainted kit; neither paints nor adhesive are enclosed.
