This set of colored self-adhesive 3D decals serves to detail the interior of a model; it is not a kit. A flexible film with raised colored elements replaces the instrument panel, the side consoles and further details of the cabin of the F-35B fighter from the Tamiya kit in 1:48 scale. The set is made by Kelik.
The Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II is a fifth-generation fighter with a reduced radar signature. The B version is meant for short takeoff and vertical landing thanks to a lift fan and a swiveling nozzle. The cabin has an integrated glass display instead of conventional grouped instruments, which the rendering of the panel matches.
The elements are lifted out of the sheet and applied to the matching surfaces of the cockpit. The film will conform to slightly curved surfaces; it is a good idea to degrease the surfaces beforehand and to press the decal down carefully with a soft cotton swab. Whether a decal softener can be used on it should be checked in the manufacturer's instructions; with printed elements makers tend to be cautious about one. The interior thus gains colored detail with no painting.
This is an accessory for a model, not the kit itself. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
