An interior set from the Kelik brand for the American O-2A observation aircraft in 1:48 scale, delivered in the gray variant of the cockpit equipment. The contents are a decal film with a three-dimensional relief intended for sticking onto the parts of a kit. The aircraft itself is not in the package; the decals are prepared for the O-2A kit from ICM.
The O-2A came about from the civilian twin-engine Cessna with an unconventional layout of the power units: one engine pulled at the front, the other pushed at the rear, and the tail surfaces were carried on two booms. In Vietnam it served as a forward air control aircraft that sought out targets and directed combat machines onto them. The cabin was glazed literally on all sides, so the inside is visible on a model more than on any fighter.
Paint the surfaces of the cabin, let them dry out thoroughly and varnish them with gloss varnish. Separate the motifs one by one, slide them into place once soaked and press the relief into the right position with gentle pressure of a swab. You will manage the rounded areas better with a small amount of softener. Once it has dried, fix the surface with matte varnish and use any wash in moderation, so that the fine shadow of the relief is not wiped away.
