A set of two injection-molded plastic kits of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4 fighter in the small 1:144 scale from Mark I. The 2 in 1 box contains two complete models with clear cockpit parts and a shared decal sheet that offers several marking options. Thanks to the small scale it is a quick, undemanding build that suits collections in small display cases. Check the exact number of parts and schemes against the packaging.
The Bf 109K, nicknamed Konrad after the German phonetic alphabet, was the last production version of the legendary Messerschmitt Bf 109. The K-4 variant of 1944 and 1945 received the more powerful Daimler-Benz DB 605D engine, an aerodynamically cleaned-up fuselage and modified cockpit glazing. It went into action in the closing phase of the war, when the Luftwaffe faced overwhelming Allied air power.
In 1:144 scale the parts are very small, so work with a sharp knife and tweezers and glue delicately with thin cement for plastic. Paint the cockpit before the fuselage is closed up and mask the small glazing. Apply the paints with an airbrush in thin coats so that the fine engraving is not lost.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
