The Intruder entered service in 1963 and became the first American carrier aircraft that was able to find and hit a target without outside visibility, by its onboard systems alone. The subsonic machine with its striking rounded nose and angled intake area carried a larger bomb load than many four-engine bombers of the Second World War, and the navy made use of it for over three decades.
If you are building the cockpit open, supplement the application of the decals with fine accenting of the edges with a silver drybrush only after the varnish has dried. Line the elements of the instrument panel up by the upper edge of the cover, as any deviation is least conspicuous under the canopy. For pressing into recesses, use a soft rubber tip instead of metal tweezers. During the work, lay a soft cloth under the cockpit, so that you do not scratch the surrounding surface of the fuselage.
