The 1:144 312 Squadron RAF, Part III sheet from the AML Decals brand continues the treatment of the machines of this Czechoslovak squadron of the Royal Air Force in a small scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set from AML Decals for models of aircraft in 1:144 scale. The contents are printed markings on a water backing, which you transfer onto the model once it has been sprayed. It is not a model or a part of one.
After 1939 Czechoslovak airmen made their way to Britain and formed their own squadrons there, among them No. 312 fighter squadron. Its machines carried British national insignia supplemented by unit codes and the personal markings of the crews. It is precisely this small artwork that turns an anonymous model into a particular aircraft.
Cut the sheet with a sharp scalpel and always only the motif you need at that moment. Leave the rest dry, otherwise the carrier film will ripple. Once it is dry, check the edges against the light; over scribed lines the decal can stay domed, and careful pricking and another drop of softener will help it. Finally tie the area together with a matte or semi-matte varnish. Only then does the difference in sheen between the carrier film and the surrounding paint disappear, and the markings begin to look like part of the finish rather than a stuck-on scrap of paper.
The package contains decals only. Tools, softener and paints do not belong with them.
