1:144 decals for the Slovak National Uprising of 1944 and for Lavochkin La-5FN machines from AML Decals, the second part of the series on Czechoslovak aviation legends.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet from AML Decals in 1:144 scale. The subject brings together the year 1944, the Slovak National Uprising and the Soviet Lavochkin La-5FN fighter in Czechoslovak hands. You are buying the markings alone, not a model.
The La-5FN was the top version of Lavochkin's fighter, with a radial engine with direct fuel injection. The machine was notable for the wooden structure of its fuselage and for good performance near the ground, and in 1944 it was part of the equipment of the Czechoslovak fighter unit on the Eastern Front. It is precisely with these aircraft that one of the best-known chapters of the wartime Czechoslovak Air Force is connected.
Soviet camouflage schemes have sharp transitions and often distinct traces of wear as well, so apply the decals before the weathering. Once they are settled and varnished, you can take a fine wash and dust shades across them, and the markings then look like part of the finish. The red stars have a strongly covering color, and under them it is worth really smoothing the base. A wooden fuselage also behaves differently from metal: its surface tends to be less broken up and a decal sits on it willingly.
In the package there is a decal sheet. A kit and paints are not part of it.
