1:32 Messerschmitt Bf 109 F-4/R3 Trop is an AML Decals sheet for a large model of the German fighter in the version with the R3 equipment set and the tropical modification.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set from the AML Decals brand for models in 1:32 scale. It is devoted to the Messerschmitt Bf 109 in the F-4 version with the R3 supplementary set and with the tropical modification. The goods are a standalone accessory; a model is not included in the package.
The F version was among the aerodynamically cleanest forms of the Bf 109. It had rounded wingtips, a cantilever horizontal tail without struts and its armament concentrated on the fuselage centerline. The letter R in the designation refers to supplementary equipment fitted according to the task, and the qualifier Trop to the modification for operating in heat and dust, whose most conspicuous feature tended to be a filter in front of the air intake.
Machines from the southern theater tend to have a faded finish and a coating of fine light dust, which clings mainly to the underside of the fuselage and around the landing gear. Apply the markings, therefore, before you start on the weathering. Smooth the base to a gloss and settle the large fuselage markings in sections. Finally take the dust across the decals as well, otherwise they will look too clean against the rest of the airframe.
The package contains decals for finishing a model. It does not replace a kit, paints or varnishes.
