Zvezda 1:72 KV-1 is a plastic kit of the Soviet heavy tank of the early Second World War in the small scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet heavy tank KV-1 in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Zvezda. The package holds plastic parts, a decal sheet and instructions; you will build a model of one of the heaviest armored vehicles of the early phase of the fighting on the Eastern Front. The small scale suits a quick build as well as a diorama or a collection for tabletop battles.
The KV-1 was a Soviet heavy tank named after Kliment Voroshilov, in service from 1940. Thanks to its thick armor it was able at the beginning of the war to withstand most of the German antitank weapons of the day and it became an unpleasant surprise for the attacker. Its armament consisted of a gun of 76 mm caliber complemented by machine guns. Its weak points were its lower mobility and a demanding transmission.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue the joints with thin modeling cement for plastic. Finish the running gear and the tracks before closing the hull up. We recommend a base of primer, coverage with an airbrush and then picking the details out with a wash and with dust or mud pigments for a realistic patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
