This detailing resin set from the manufacturer Art Scale in 1:48 scale holds 3D printed bomb bay doors for models of the heavy bomber B-17 Flying Fortress. The set makes it possible to show the bomb bay in the open state with a realistic thickness and structure of the doors, which the plastic parts from a kit replace only with difficulty. It is an accessory, not an aircraft model. The mating surfaces match the bomb bay of the HK Models kit.
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was a four-engine American heavy bomber of the Second World War, famous for daylight strategic bombing over Europe. An open bomb bay with its characteristic doors is one of the most conspicuous details of the underside of the fuselage and it markedly brings a model built with a bomb load aboard to life.
Separate the parts from the print supports, clean the surfaces up with respiratory protection and wash them before gluing. Use cyanoacrylate glue to fix them. Color the inner structure of the bomb bay in an interior shade and pick it out with a wash and wear marks; the outer surfaces you will match to the camouflage scheme of the fuselage.
The set is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
