This detail resin set from Art Scale in 1:48 scale contains 3D-printed round-type exhaust stacks for models of the P-39Q Airacobra fighter. It is supplied as a pair, a left and a right side, and replaces the simplified plastic exhausts with faithfully detailed parts with hollowed-out openings. It is an aftermarket accessory, not a model of an aircraft. The target kit is Arma Hobby.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American fighter of the Second World War with the unconventional arrangement of the engine behind the pilot and with a nose landing gear. The Q version was among the most widespread and was used extensively by the Soviet Air Force. The exhaust stacks along the sides of the fuselage are among the conspicuous details that the round type of exhaust captures faithfully.
Separate the parts from the print supports and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Wash them before gluing and apply a primer. Color the exhausts with metallic and rust shades; pigments and washes will add the soot and the heat discoloration. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The set is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
