A kit of the Piper PA-25 Pawnee agricultural aircraft in 1:72. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the manufacturer's part number is KPM0472.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Piper PA-25 Pawnee is a single-engine low-wing aircraft with a piston engine, designed for agricultural work. It looks the part: a high-set cockpit with a good view forward and down, a sturdy fixed undercarriage for operating from grass strips, and room for a load of chemicals between the engine and the pilot. Many machines ended their service with flying clubs as glider tugs, so the Pawnee is familiar to a good many glider pilots too.
It is a kit of the aircraft in 1:72 meant to be glued and painted. The parts list, the recommended shades and the marking options are given in the instructions supplied by the manufacturer. Two items are listed under the same name and differ only in the part number; this one carries KPM0472. Check the marking options against the actual package.
A small single-engine aircraft builds quickly but forgives little: try the fit of the fuselage halves and the seating of the wing dry, so that the dihedral is right and the aircraft does not stand crooked. Glaze the cockpit only after painting and mask the frame of the glazing. Agricultural machines tend to be colorful but weathered by service, so it pays to soften the finish with light grime around the outlets and on the underside of the fuselage.
The kit is for collectors of civil aircraft and for those who build club aircraft and working machines outside the main military line. The package holds the parts of the kit; paints, glue and tools are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
