A sheet of decals in 1:72 scale with markings for assault tanks of the American 6th Armored Division, that is for the M4 with the 105 mm howitzer and for the M4A3E2 Jumbo.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second sheet devoted to the American 6th Armored Division, known by the nickname Super Sixth, concentrates on machines intended for supporting infantry and for breaking through resistance. Beside classic medium tanks the armored units also had vehicles with stronger armor or with armament adapted to destroying fortified positions.
The M4 with the 105 mm howitzer had, in place of an anti-tank gun, a weapon intended for fire support, so it was able to break up field fortifications and buildings. The M4A3E2, for which the nickname Jumbo took hold, received markedly strengthened armor of the hull as well as a heavier turret and rode at the head of columns, where it was to take the first hit. Both vehicles are recognized from an ordinary Sherman on a model at first glance.
Cut the element out as close to the print as possible and dip it for a few seconds in lukewarm water. As soon as it starts to slide freely over the backing paper, transfer it onto a smooth, gloss and degreased surface. Press the excess water out with a soft cloth and over edges and rivets help it along with decal softener. Once dry, overcoat the area with varnish so that the edges of the carrier film disappear. The placement of the elements is stated in the instructions enclosed with the sheet.
The sheet will be used by builders of American armored equipment in 1:72 scale who want to show less usual machines of one unit in a display case as well. Together with the first sheet of the same line it covers one division in a wider span. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
