1:24 LB WORKS LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR LIMITED EDITION VER. 2 is a plastic kit of the Italian supercar in the widebody conversion by the Japanese shop Liberty Walk. It is released by Aoshima, and the second version designation sets it apart from an earlier release of the same subject.
The Aventador replaced the Murciélago in 2011 and brought a carbon fiber monocoque, a V12 engine mounted ahead of the rear axle and scissor doors. Liberty Walk, shortened to LB Works, dressed it in a widened body with markedly overhanging fenders, exposed rivets around their edges, a deep front splitter and a lowered ride height. Those riveted arches are the hallmark of the whole shop and set this form of the car apart from the standard version at first glance.
Dry fit the widened parts before you reach for the glue, and check that the wheels do not rub anywhere once they are in place. A body of this kind comes out best in a rich color with deep gloss; the way there runs through a perfectly smooth base and patient polishing. Pick out the rivets around the edges of the fenders with a darker tone drawn into their surroundings, otherwise they will disappear in the large expanse.
The model is supplied unassembled and without a finish. Paints, glue and accessories are not in the package, unless stated otherwise.
