Figure Rise Standard Kaiju No. 8 is a plastic kit of a character from the Japanese comic and animated series Kaiju No. 8 from the Bandai brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Figure-rise Standard line is aimed at characters from animated and comic series rather than at hardware. It is assembled from plastic moldings that already have the colors separated in the mold, so the finished figure holds the look of the subject even without a finish. It is not a ready-made statue from a collectibles shop but a full-fledged kit.
Kaiju No. 8 is a Japanese series in which the world defends itself against attacks by giant creatures and the main hero, Kafka Hibino, can himself turn into a humanoid monster bearing that number. The look of the subject rests on the contrast of a dark muscular silhouette, a bony facial cover and brightly glowing eyes. It is that contrast that makes the figure a striking piece even in a smaller display case.
Characters from this line have a lot of small parts, so have good cutters and a blade ready for cleaning up the sprue nubs. Dark surfaces gain depth once a darker shade is applied into the recesses and the protruding muscles are lightly brightened. The eyes come out when you seal them with a gloss coat while leaving the rest of the figure matte.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints and accessories are not included in the package.
