Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of national insignia and fin flashes in 1:144 from the Mark I range, prepared for models of the fighter Bell Airacobra in the equipment of the Royal Air Force. The note about two sets is stated in the name of the item.
The Airacobra is among the most unusual fighters of the Second World War. Its engine did not sit at the front but behind the pilot in the middle of the fuselage and drove the propeller through a long shaft led under the floor of the cockpit. The structure used the space freed up in the nose for a heavy cannon firing through the axis of the propeller spinner. To that was added a nose gear, rare at the time, and side doors similar to those of an automobile. The characteristic silhouette is completed by the straight wing and the short pointed nose without a radiator. The Royal Air Force tried the type in combat only briefly; these machines found wider use with other Allied operators.
Let the base under a decal cure properly. Fresh gloss clear is soft and the tip of a brush will leave a mark in it that you will no longer level out. With engraved lines it helps, once dry, to go over the motif with a damp cloth and press lightly, so that the film sinks into the engraving and does not form a bubble on the edge.
