Responsibility details are not available.
The decal sheet of the Mark I brand is, according to the name, devoted to the theme of recreational flying with the Piper L-4 aircraft. It contains printed markings on waterslide film; a model of the aircraft and paints do not belong to it. It suits kits of this type in 1:72 scale.
The L-4 was the military shape of the light high-wing monoplane Piper J-3 Cub. A tube frame with fabric covering, a flat Continental four-cylinder of modest output and tandem seating made the aircraft an undemanding machine able to take off from short meadows. During the war it served to direct artillery fire, for liaison and for observation. After 1945 hundreds of surplus machines reached private hands, where they took up a second career with flying clubs and private pilots, and that is precisely where the colorful schemes appeared. The small area of the model means that even a few striking markings transform the overall impression of the build.
The fabric surfaces of a model tend to be matte, so coat the place under the print locally with gloss clear. Apply the smaller lettering in one go and with large areas proceed from the center. Finally unify everything with a matte overcoat so that the film does not shine anywhere. The thin wings of a light aircraft moreover bend easily, so always support the part when pressing a decal down.
