This fine detail set from the manufacturer FineMolds (the Nano Aviation line) contains precise injection molded plastic parts of the formation lights and of the chaff and flare dispensers for models of the F-15 fighter in 1:48 scale. The extra thin parts emphasize the three-dimensional impression and the fineness of the surface; the set is intended for fitting to the sides of the fuselage, where ordinary kits have these elements merely suggested. In the package there are parts for two models. This is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory.
The formation lights and the side dispensers of chaff and flares are among the characteristic surface details of the F-15 Eagle. Their faithful rendering markedly raises the realism of a finished model, especially on machines whose shading is precise.
Separate the parts from the sprue carefully and tidy them up; because of the thin walls, proceed gently. Glue with thin modeling cement for plastic or with super glue. Formation lights are usually finished with translucent tinted clear coat, and the surroundings are oversprayed according to the color scheme of the machine.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
