A sheet of the national insignia of the Korean air forces in 1:72 scale from the Mark I brand contains wet decals for models of both Korean states.
Responsibility details are not available.
On this sheet Mark I offers the national insignia of the air forces of the North Korean and the South Korean state. They are wet decals on film, usable on any model in 1:72 scale to which you want to give the matching identity. The film is thin and once dry practically does not raise the profile of the surface.
Both Korean air forces arose at the turn of the forties and fifties and from the start equipped themselves with the hardware of their allies: the northern side with Soviet types, the southern with American ones. The conflict at the beginning of the fifties was the first battlefield where jet fighters clashed on a large scale, and modelers return to it precisely because of this turning point. The markings of both states are moreover used to this day, so the use of the sheet is not limited to the machines of that time. A number of the types of the period are still built in 1:72 scale today, and obtaining the matching markings for them tends to be the weak point of the whole build.
Before applying them, coat the model with gloss clear. With silver and natural metal surfaces that goes double, because on them the silvering of a decal is most visible. Slide the film into place with a wet brush and draw the surplus water off with absorbent paper. Let richly colored markings rest for at least an hour once seated, and only then coat the area with clear.
