The Su-25 is a single-seat attack aircraft meant for the direct support of ground units. It was built to take fire from below: the cockpit is enclosed in an armored tub, the important systems are duplicated and the sturdy landing gear will handle an unprepared surface. The short wings carry a row of pylons and the aircraft works at low altitude and low speed, where the crew has the target in sight. The Su-25K is the export rendition of this type, delivered to foreign users.
The masks define the areas that are to stay free of paint or to get a different shade. The edge from a mask is as sharp and clean as neither lining in by hand nor tape cut on the table could manage, and the work is fast thanks to the pre-cut shapes. The set is made for 1:32 scale, so the shapes match the size of the parts on a large model.
Before applying, the surface has to be dry, clean and degreased, otherwise the mask will not hold and paint will creep under it. Lay the mask on, press down above all on the edges and apply the paint in several thin coats. One heavy coat is drawn under the edge and the edge blurs. Lift the mask shortly after the paint has dried, at a sharp angle and rather with tweezers, so that the paint does not tear behind it. The exact placing and the order of the shades follow the manufacturer's instructions.
For modelers who build the Su-25K in a large scale and want the boundaries of the finish sprayed, not applied. This is an accessory to a model; paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
