A plastic kit of the Progress-7 command bus in 1:43 scale, that is a vehicle with a box body adapted for command and signals.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Progress-7 is a command bus, that is a vehicle with a box body whose interior serves not to carry passengers but to command. Vehicles like these carried work tables, maps and signals equipment and were used wherever an operation had to be directed from the field itself: with military units, with rescue services and on large construction projects. From the outside, often only a smaller number of windows and the fittings on the roof tell them apart from an ordinary bus.
This is a plastic kit in 1:43 scale, the usual collector scale for road vehicles. A vehicle of service purpose is a welcome change in a collection beside passenger cars and trucks, because types like these appear in model form only rarely.
The flat surfaces of the body will give away every irregularity, so sand away traces of manufacture and smooth the surfaces before painting. Lay the paint on in thin coats, so that the outlines of the windows, the doors and the trim strips stay readable. Fit the glazing only once the paint is dry, and carefully, so that the adhesive does not fog the clear parts. The vehicle looks particularly good with gentle accenting of the panel lines and a little dust on the underside.
The set is for collectors of service and commercial vehicles and for modelers looking for a fresh subject for one or two evenings. It will also serve as an addition to a diorama with vehicles.
Paints, glue and a display case are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
