An assembly model of the Ural-43202 truck from the family of three-axle Ural vehicles. It is a type that stands in a collection for ordinary everyday work: a flatbed vehicle with all-wheel drive, of the kind that carried materials around building sites, forest roads and field routes. 1:43 scale makes it a rewarding cabinet piece that can be combined with car models and with other vehicles of the same marque.
The Ural-4320 family replaced the older gasoline vehicles of the Ural works and was built around a simple idea: high mobility across terrain, simple maintenance and resistance to rough handling. The Ural-43202 is one of the forms of this family, with the same all-metal cab and the same three-axle chassis. The vehicles were used in forestry, on building sites, in geological survey work and as carriers for all manner of bodies, so they could be met across the whole country.
The running gear will take the most work: three axles mean six wheels that have to sit in one plane. Glue the frame, lay it on glass and only then seat the axles against it. We recommend dealing with the load floor of the bed separately, so that it can be painted from the inside. For a credible look choose a uniform base shade, bring out the edges of the sides lightly and add scuffed places on the drop sides and on the steps, that is where crew and cargo rubbed the vehicle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
