A kit of the modified coupe Honda Ballade Sports Mugen CR-X Pro in 1:24 scale from the automotive line of Tamiya.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the CR-X coupe modified as the Mugen tuning shop offered it in the 1980s. The set comes from the extensive automotive line of the Japanese company Tamiya and is meant for a static build.
Honda introduced the CR-X in 1983 as a light two-seat coupe with short overhangs and a cut-off tail ending in split glazing. On the home market it was sold under the name Ballade Sports. Mugen, the company tied to the marque's racing program, offered a complete package of modifications for it: body parts, wheels, an exhaust and a firmer suspension setup. The result was a car that felt brisk thanks to its low weight even with a modest engine, and that is exactly what gave the CR-X its reputation.
Dry fit the body parts and fill any gaps with putty before painting. The split rear glazing calls for clean work, so meter the glue out with the tip of a wire. Wheels with a design of their own come out best if you separate them from the tires and paint them apart. Lay the lettering and the badges onto a gloss surface; a matte one will give them away.
The contents are a plastic kit; the assembly and the painting are waiting for the modeler.
