The 1:16 Arms set holds replacement arms for large figures and opens the way to poses and gestures of your own.
Responsibility details are not available.
The arms decide what a figure is doing. A production figure has its arms cast in a single position, and everyone who buys it has to live with that, until they reach for replacement parts. This item is exactly such an accessory: separately cast upper limbs that are fitted to the figure in place of the original ones.
Changing an arm turns a soldier handing over an ammunition belt into a figure wiping his forehead, or a civilian pointing into the distance. In a diorama that is fundamental: if the figures are meant to communicate with each other, their gestures have to match. Poses of your own also do away with the unwelcome impression that the same figure is repeated in several scenes.
Make the cut where the joint will be least noticeable, that is below the shoulder seam or where the sleeve ends. Then level the surface and check the angle by dry assembly before it comes to gluing, because once the joint has set, correction is difficult. Smooth the resulting gap with filler and go over it with fine sandpaper so that it does not give itself away once painted. Paint the arms separately at the end and attach them to the torso last, as a brush reaches them more easily that way.
The large 1:16 format means that the quality of the smoothed joint will show on the fitted arm too.
