The package deals with two things at once: the shape of the intake duct and what the aircraft carries under the fuselage. According to the name it holds the narrower intake matching the older machines and with it a Sniper pod and a pod connected with anti-radar tasks. The model thus gains a clearly legible purpose instead of the general appearance out of the box.
The optical pod lets the crew find a ground target and hold a laser beam on it. The second of the pair belongs to the equipment of machines whose task is to find and silence the radars of air defenses. Both devices appeared only during the 1990s, so they hint straight away at the period your real subject falls into. The combination of both on one aircraft was common with some users.
Cut the original part of the nose away with a fine-toothed saw and level the area on sandpaper laid on glass. Glue the new intake on only after checking that the axis of the fuselage has stayed straight. Fit the pods onto the pylons toward the end of the build, or they will get in the way during handling. Paint them separately from the fuselage; they usually have a different shade.
The aircraft is not contained in the package; the set serves to rework a model you already have.
