Stencils for painting a model of the German airliner monoplane from the beginning of the 1920s. The double-sided label is given in the name; the single-sided rendition of the same type comes out as a separate item. The set holds no plastic components.
The F 13 carried passengers at a time when flying was only learning to be a service. Airlines in Europe and overseas put it into service, in South America it opened routes over the jungle and in the northern countries it was fitted with skis. The cabin had a row of rectangular windows along the sides, which makes it a machine with an unusually large proportion of glazing for such a small airframe, and that is exactly why masking pays off on a model. A number of machines flew on into the 1930s, when larger multi-engine types replaced them.
First polish the glazing and rid it of dust, because under a stencil every speck shows up as a bump. Apply the paint in several light passes and let it air off between them. Spray the last coat in the shade of the surrounding area, so that any creep under the edge is not visible. The window frames are narrow, so after lifting the stencils check the edges against the light and even out any projections with the finest paper.
This is a modeling aid for finishing a build, not a box with plastic.
