A set of masking templates for the glazing of the cabin and the wheels of the undercarriage of the Messerschmitt Bf 109E-1/E-3 in 1:72 scale. You stick the masks on before spraying and take them off after the spray.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109E belonged among the main German fighter aircraft of the first years of the Second World War. The E-1 and E-3 versions differed above all in armament and were powered by the liquid-cooled inverted V12 engine Daimler-Benz DB 601. The canopy of the cabin is angular and made up of flat panes of glazing, so it has dense framing and masking it by hand is lengthy.
Masks for the glazing of the cabin and for the wheels of the undercarriage of a model of the Bf 109E-1 or E-3 in 1:72 scale. The templates cover the surfaces that are to stay clear, and on the wheels they separate the tire from the rim, so you spray both without an intervention with a brush.
Stick the masks onto a cleaned and degreased surface still before spraying and press the edges down carefully, so that no paint runs under them. Spray in several thin layers. Take the mask off while the spray is fresh; off a fully hardened varnish it comes away less well and there is a risk that the edge of the paint lifts with it.
For the modeler who builds the Bf 109E in a small scale and wants the frames of the glazing and the rims of the wheels clean. The intended use for a particular kit is given by the manufacturer's instructions, so compare the shape of the parts with your own canopy. The package holds masks; the kit, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
