1:48 a pair of underwing pylons for MICA missiles (Rafale) is a resin set of two pylons for a model of the French multirole aircraft. It is an equipment accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains two underwing pylons intended for carrying MICA air-to-air missiles on a model of the Dassault Rafale in 1:48 scale. Pylons are among the parts that decide the credibility of a stores configuration: they are slender, they have a complex section and in plastic kits they tend to be simplified. A resin version holds the crisp edges as well as the fine detail of the attachments. The set is an accessory for a finished model, not a kit of the aircraft.
The Dassault Rafale is a French twin-engine multirole combat aircraft with a delta wing and canard surfaces. Its basic air-to-air armament consists of MICA missiles, which exist in a radar-guided and an infrared-guided version; both have the same body and differ in the seeker head. The missiles are carried both on the wingtips and under the wing, and it is for the underwing mounting that the separate type of pylon this set represents serves.
Wash the resin parts with lukewarm water and dish soap so that the mold release agent is removed, otherwise neither paint nor glue will hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and level the contact face with a file, so that the pylon sits flat on the wing and in the right axis. It is glued with cyanoacrylate. Do the sanding wet and with your airways protected. After the primer, apply a shade matching the underside of the wing and underline the seams with a fine wash.
The set is an accessory, not a kit of a whole aircraft. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
