An add-on set of underwing equipment for models of aircraft in 1:48 scale. It contains two pylons under the designation PU 708 and two triple bomb racks under the designation AT 730. Decals are part of the set as well.
Underwing equipment is seen from below and at close range on a model of an aircraft, and yet kits devote the least care to it. Pylons tend to be simplified and ejectors that carry several bombs on one station are often missing altogether. Replacement parts solve the problem twice over: the shapes are sharper and the set adds equipment that could otherwise only be made laboriously. The decals then complete the technical lettering and markings that tend to be on underwing equipment and without which a part looks bare.
The parts are not of polystyrene; ordinary plastic glue will not join them and they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down, so as not to touch the shape itself. Before painting, wash and degrease the parts and apply a base color. Try the seating on the wing dry first and check that the pylons stand vertical and in the line of flight, because a pylon glued on askew is visible from every side on a finished model. The particular sequence of assembly is given by the maker in the enclosed instructions.
