This is a standalone sheet of markings in 1:48 scale from the group of accessories for aircraft models. It is not a kit: the sheet is bought for a model you already have under construction or finished, and it changes its surface graphics. Which particular machines and which lettering or insignia the sheet covers, and where the individual elements belong on the model, is described in the instructions enclosed in the package.
First check in the instructions whether the elements are self-adhesive or meant for soaking in water. Both occur in this group of goods and a mix-up does not pay: a self-adhesive film is ruined by being soaked. The surface underneath should be smooth, dry and degreased. Under elements meant for soaking, a gloss coat of clear works well; on a matte surface, air stays under the decal and the edges then silver.
Cut the elements out with a sharp blade close to the edge of the print, so that no needless rim of the carrier layer is left. Apply large areas in sections and work from the center toward the edges so that the air is pushed out. Once dry, the whole model can be gone over with clear, which unifies the edges with the surrounding finish. Store the sheet flat, in a dry place and out of direct light; both moisture and sunshine harm the print.
What is supplied is a decal sheet. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
