A photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for detailing the outer surface of the model of the American ground-attack aircraft A-10 Thunderbolt II in 1:48 scale. The thin metal parts sharpen the flat elements of the airframe, the covers, the ventilation grilles and other fine details that are hard to reproduce in plastic. This is an accessory for an advanced build, not a model of an airplane; the kit has to be bought separately.
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American single-seat twin-engine ground-attack aircraft for the direct support of ground forces. Its main weapon is a massive seven-barrel cannon, and under its wings it carries a wide range of unguided and guided ordnance. It stands out for its toughness, its long loiter time over the battlefield and its ability to take heavy damage.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface; a metal bending tool handles the bends. Use super glue or epoxy for gluing. Degrease the metal before painting and lay on a primer, so that the paint grips well.
