Photo-etched metal parts for the interior of the model of the A-10 ground-attack aircraft in 1:48 scale, carried under the manufacturer's part number 49395.
Responsibility details are not available.
The A-10 is an American single-seat aircraft intended for the direct support of ground units. It came about around a heavy gun and its whole shape answers to that: a straight wing for long loitering over the battlefield, an armored bathtub around the pilot and a machine built so that it comes home with damage. The cockpit of such an aircraft is broken up into many parts, and on a model it tends to be exactly the place where plastic runs into its limits.
The set aims, as its name says, at the interior. Photo-etched metal sheet allows what is thin in reality to be made thin: the front faces of the instrument panels, the side panels, the levers, the consoles and the seat belts. The extent of the set, the number of parts and the kit it is tuned to are given in the instructions from the manufacturer.
First read the whole of the instructions and think the order through, because the interior is fitted before the fuselage is closed up and a later repair is no longer possible. Separate the parts from the carrier fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface and level the remainder of the tab with a fine file. Lead the bends along the etched grooves in a bending tool or between two blades. You will join the metal with super glue laid on in a tiny drop; solvent glue for plastic has no effect on it. Degrease the parts before painting and lay on a primer for metal.
The kit, paints, primer and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
