A 3D printed resin set of landing gear and wheels for the American A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft in 1:48 scale from the production of the Ukrainian brand Reskit. The set replaces the plastic landing gear legs and wheels in the kit from HobbyBoss with more finely detailed parts and contains components for the early as well as the later form of the aircraft. It is the flight variant of the set, that is wheels with no load flattening for a model presented in the air. This is not a model in its own right but a detail accessory intended precisely for the kit from HobbyBoss.
In plastic, landing gear legs and wheels tend to be impoverished of the fine detail of the hubs, brakes and tire tread. Printed resin captures these elements more crisply and more faithfully. The parts for the early as well as the later form make it possible to correspond precisely to a particular A-10 machine.
Wash the parts free of release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. Protect your airways while sanding. Paint the legs and wheels before assembly and accentuate them with a wash and drybrushing.
An accessory for the advanced, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
