A set of pylons, the carriers for the external stores of the A-10A/C Thunderbolt II in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Aires. This is not an aircraft model but a resin detail accessory for the A-10 plastic kit (Great Wall Hobby), which has to be owned separately.
Pylons are the carriers under the wing and the fuselage on which bombs, rockets and other stores are hung. The resin parts replace the simpler plastic pylons from the box with a more faithful shape and finer detail, which is appreciated above all on models with a rich load of external stores.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Take care to set the pylons vertically and symmetrically so that the stores hang straight. Sand resin with respiratory protection.
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit has to be bought separately; paints and glue are not included in the package.
