This boxing is aimed at striking special color schemes and combines proven plastic parts from Academy with quality decals and masking film. It is a striking version of the aircraft nicknamed the Warthog for any collection of modern equipment.
The A-10 Thunderbolt II, nicknamed the Warthog, is an American single-seat ground-attack aircraft intended for the close support of ground units and the destruction of equipment. It carries a seven-barrel 30 mm rotary cannon and is famous for its toughness, its long endurance over the battlefield and its ability to carry a wide arsenal under the wings. The A-10C version brought upgraded avionics and precision armament. Special color schemes tend to be connected with unit anniversaries and air shows.
Use a liquid cement for plastic and finish and paint the cockpit before the fuselage is closed. Apply a primer before painting and put the paints on with an airbrush; the masks enclosed make sharp transitions and clean glazing of the canopy easier. With striking special schemes, plan the order of the colors and the decals carefully. Assemble the stores and the armament separately and fit them only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
