Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely cast resin radial engines for the American twin-engine Douglas A-20 Havoc attack and light bomber aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part that replaces the simplified plastic engines from the base kit and raises the fidelity of the engine nacelles, not a stand-alone airplane model.
The Douglas A-20 Havoc was an American twin-engine attack and light bomber aircraft of the Second World War, powered by a pair of Wright R-2600 radial engines. It was liked for its good handling and speed and was deployed by the Allies on many fronts, including the Soviet one, where it went in large numbers.
Resin parts call for more careful work than plastic: first wash them free of mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting block and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect your airways when sanding and cutting small parts. Apply a primer before painting. Once painted, bring the engines to life with a dry brush and a fine wash so that the cylinder fins and the lines stand out; only then cover them with the cowling.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
