New Ware A-37A Dragonfly BASIC masks 1:48 is a set of accurately shaped painting masks (kabuki) for the canopy glazing of a model of the A-37A light attack aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive painting masks (kabuki) from New Ware in 1:48 scale for a model of the Cessna A-37A Dragonfly light attack aircraft. The BASIC version covers the outer canopy glazing; the accurately shaped masks give sharp, clean frame edges without the drudgery of laying down strips of tape. It is the version for modelers who only need the canopy masked reliably.
The Cessna A-37 Dragonfly was a light attack aircraft derived from the T-37 jet trainer. The A-37A version was the first attack variant, converted from trainers and sent out for trials and combat evaluation in Vietnam. The small twin-engine machine with its side-by-side two-seat cockpit carried bombs and rocket pods and proved itself in the counter-insurgency role.
Peel the masks carefully off the sheet, lay them on the glazing by their numbers and press them home. Apply the paint in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush, so that it does not bleed under the edge. Spray the frame color first, then the final camouflage. Once it has dried, lift the masks off carefully.
This is a set of masks, not a model. The aircraft model and the paints are not included in the package.
