A resin detail set, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the fixed air refueling probe of the American Douglas A-4 Skyhawk carrier light attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. The version matches the late type of probe. The casting brings fine shapes and an accurate tip that are hard to form in plastic. The set is meant for advanced modelers with resin experience.
The refueling probe projects ahead of the nose and is conspicuous on a model, so its exact shape has a strong effect on the final impression. The resin replacement is finer than the thicker plastic part from the box and captures the tip of the probe more faithfully. Once painted and lightly weathered, it looks realistic.
