A resin detail set, not an aircraft model. The set brings faithfully cast landing gear bays of the American Douglas A-4 Skyhawk carrier attack aircraft, with fine ribbing, lines and wall structure. It replaces the shallow bays of a plastic kit in 1:48 scale and gives the gear bays depth and detail in scale.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was an American single-seat light carrier attack aircraft with a delta wing. Its compact size and agility earned it nicknames such as Scooter. It served for decades with the US Navy and with a number of other air arms and proved itself from operations over Vietnam to training and aggressor duties.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of mold release residue from the mold. Cut off the casting blocks carefully with a saw and level the surfaces; wear a respirator when sanding resin, as the dust is harmful. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with ordinary plastic cement. Apply a base primer before painting.
