SPACE is a modern detailing set that combines color 3D decals on a decal backing paper with pre-painted steel photo-etched parts. The printed elements have a raised relief, so that instrument panels, side panels and other interior elements come across as three-dimensional and realistic. The steel photo-etched parts add seat belts, a gunsight and fine cabin details. The set is meant for a model of the attack aircraft A-4B Skyhawk in 1:48 scale.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was a light carrier attack aircraft of the US Navy and the Marine Corps. The compact machine with a delta wing served from the nineteen fifties and proved itself in combat above all during the Vietnam War. The A-4B version was among the early production forms.
The 3D decals have no adhesive layer of their own: with a damp sponge and a drop of dish soap wet the backing paper only, lift the element off with tweezers and fix it with dispersion (white) glue, as the manufacturer does not recommend cyanoacrylate glue for them. Do not use a softener, because its chemistry will attack the printed resin. Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret with a sharp knife and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Complete the interior before closing the fuselage up.
