The A-4C Skyhawk in 1:48: colored cockpit fittings from a decal sheet from Quinta Studio. The set is cut for the Hasegawa kit, which is also sold under the Hobby 2000 brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
The interior surfaces are carried on a color-printed decal sheet and are applied directly onto the plastic parts. The set is cut for the Hasegawa kit, which Hobby 2000 also issues under its own brand. That is worth specifying, because Quinta Studio offers another set for the A-4C version, matched to the parts of a different maker.
The small carrier-based attack aircraft was designed by Ed Heinemann with the aim of keeping the weight as low as possible, and he succeeded so well that the wing needed no folding mechanism. The A-4C version brought a radar for limited use in poor weather and an autopilot, which made the machine usable outside clear days. More were built than of any other early variant, and over Vietnam they flew countless attack missions from the decks of aircraft carriers.
Level the cockpit beforehand, so that the element does not have to work over raised relief anywhere. Spray the base with a smooth coat of gloss varnish, dip the piece briefly, slide it off and seat it. Do not use a decal softener or a setter, as the chemistry would attack the printed resin. Finally unify the surface with a matte varnish and pick out the levers and valves in a metal shade.
The package holds the interior set only. The aircraft model is a separate product.
