It is not an aircraft model but a demanding detail set for experienced modelers. The package from the Czech maker Aires contains precisely cast resin parts of the cockpit, usually complemented by colored photo-etch. The set replaces the cockpit of a plastic model of the A-7D Corsair II attack aircraft and adds faithful instrument panels, a seat and side consoles in 1:48 scale.
The LTV A-7 Corsair II was an American subsonic attack aircraft. The A-7D version was intended for the US Air Force (USAF), had a more powerful engine and an internal rotary cannon and was used chiefly for ground support.
Wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks with a saw and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). For an exact fit the inner walls of the fuselage may need slight reworking.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
