A resin pitot tube for the Mitsubishi A6M Zero in 1:48 scale from Quickboost. A detail part for the fighter's wing; this is not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. This fine resin casting replaces the pitot tube (airspeed probe) of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M Zero carrier fighter in 1:48 scale, in the A6M2 as well as the A6M5 versions. This slender element on the leading edge of the wing tends to be too coarse in plastic; the resin replacement offers a more faithful, thinner and crisper rendering. The part is intended for modelers who want to refine the look of the machine without laborious rework.
The pitot tube is a small but clearly visible element on the wing, and its delicacy contributes to the overall impression of a model. The casting captures the thin profile and the end of the tube, which cannot easily be achieved with a thicker plastic part. Once cleaned up and painted, the wing of the Zero looks more faithful and convincing in scale.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
