Injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese carrier fighter Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero Type 52a in 1:48 scale by the Czech manufacturer Eduard. The ProfiPACK edition means a richly equipped package: besides quality plastic it includes photo-etched parts (some pre-painted), self-adhesive masking templates and decals for several color schemes.
The A6M Zero was the most famous Japanese carrier fighter of the Second World War, renowned for its long range and agility. The Type 52a (A6M5) version was among the later variants, with a modified wing and individually faired exhaust stacks, and was one of the most numerous. It was powered by a radial engine and was flown in the defensive battles of the Pacific in the closing stages of the war, both from carrier decks and from land bases.
Paint and fit the richly detailed cockpit with its etched parts before closing up the fuselage. The supplied masks will speed up and improve the accuracy of painting the glazing. Glue the thin etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Bring the green and light surfaces to life with subtle shade variation, paint chipping at high-wear areas, and fine panel-line highlighting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
