A pair of anti-ship missiles, 1:48 AGM-84D Harpoon (2 pcs) from AMMO of Mig Jimenez, completes the armament of naval aircraft models.
Responsibility details are not available.
Two scale replicas of the American Harpoon anti-ship missile in the air-launched AGM-84D form. It is intended to complete the armament of models of naval aviation in 1:48 scale. The figure of two pieces follows from the name of the item.
The Harpoon appeared in the middle of the 1970s and to this day forms the backbone of the anti-ship armament of a number of states. It flies very low over the water, where defensive systems pick it up with more difficulty, and in the final stretch it finds the target with its own active radar. The carrier can therefore leave after launch and does not have to hold its course. The AGM-84D version received more powerful propellant and a longer range and was carried by the Orion patrol aircraft, by the carrier-based Intruder and Hornet and by heavy bombers. The air-launched variant differs from the shipborne form in that it lacks the booster motor for launch from a canister.
