A more extensive accessory set for an AH-64D attack helicopter kit in 1:48 scale. The parts are glued with super glue; their placement is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The AH-64D is a later version of the American Apache attack helicopter. It carries a crew of two in tandem, stub wings with weapon pylons and a traversing gun turret under the nose. Some of the machines in this version were fitted with a radar mounted above the rotor head, by which the machine can be told at first glance.
This is a more extensive accessory set for a helicopter kit in 1:48 scale. Against the single-purpose accessories it covers several places on the machine at once. The exact make-up, the part numbers and their placement are given in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with it.
The parts are not polystyrene, so they are joined with super glue or epoxy. Cut the excess material and the production marks away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the surface. Dry-fit the parts before gluing and sand the plastic back at the seat as needed. Before painting, the parts have to be washed in lukewarm soapy water, left to dry and sprayed with primer, otherwise the finish holds poorly.
The set is intended for modelers who want to take the level of detail on a finished Apache beyond the injection-molded kit and who do not mind small reworks of the plastic parts. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
