1:48 Aichi B7A1/B7A2 Ryusei Grace National Insignias is a set of national insignia masks for models of the Japanese B7A carrier-based aircraft in 1:48 scale. The name gives both versions, the B7A1 and the B7A2.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Dead Design brand in 1:48 scale is an accessory to a model, not a kit. The masks are laid on the finish and the marking is sprayed in paint. The extent of the package is not stated here.
This is the situation in which a decal fails most often. Modern kits have engraved panel lines and rows of rivets, and a national marking usually crosses them. A decal has to flow into every hollow, which will not come off without a decal softener, and even with one there remains a risk that the film will stretch over the engraving and form an air pocket, that is silvering. A sprayed marking has no such problem at all: the paint flows into the engraving just as it does over the rest of the area, because it is the same paint.
By hand the crossing of engraving could be managed, but at the cost of a smudged boundary. A brush on the edge between an area and a hollow always leaves a ridge or a gap. A mask holds the line along its whole length, whatever lies beneath it.
Press the edges of the mask over an engraved panel line down firmly with a toothpick, so that the paint does not run underneath, and spray at right angles. Lay the paint on in several very thin coats, as a heavy coat gathers in a hollow. Do the red over a light base. Take the mask off while the paint has only set, slowly and at an angle.
This is an accessory for a model. The kit and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
